Private label (sometimes called white label) means a manufacturer produces a rug to be sold entirely under the buyer's own brand — woven labels, hangtags, packaging, and any paperwork carry the retailer's name, with nothing pointing back to the factory unless the buyer wants it to.
Why it matters to a buyer
Private label lets a retailer or importer build an exclusive-feeling assortment without operating their own production. It typically requires a higher MOQ than a stock design, since branded packaging and labelling are a fixed cost that needs to be spread across the order, and should be discussed with the manufacturer alongside the core design brief.
