About
A hand-tufted rug is made by punching yarn through a stretched cloth backing with a hand-held tufting gun, following a pattern drawn on the fabric. The loops are then sheared, the back is coated with latex, and a second cloth is applied for stability. The process is much faster than knotting, which makes it ideal for large orders, tight timelines, and designs with complex artwork.
Hand-tufting delivers a plush surface and sculpted pile at a lower price point than hand-knotting. Carved edges, multi-height pile, and logo or branded artwork are all practical in tufted construction, which is why it is popular for retail, hospitality, and private label.
Wool is our standard for quality and resilience. Viscose and polyester blends are available for sheen or budget-sensitive lines, and cotton backing is an option for a more natural construction.
Tufted rugs may shed lightly in the first weeks of use, which is normal. They are best used in living rooms and bedrooms rather than heavy-traffic corridors, and should be vacuumed gently with the beater bar off.
