"Handcrafted" is the umbrella every rug we make falls under — there's no machine-made line in our range. Depending on the piece, that means hand-knotted on a loom, hand-tufted with a gun, hand-woven from natural fiber, or flatwoven with no pile at all. Four different techniques, four different price points and lead times, one thing in common: a person, not a machine, made it.
We've been manufacturing handcrafted rugs in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh since 2003, for wholesale buyers, retailers and designers across the US and Europe. Every order is made to your size, colorway and pattern rather than picked from fixed stock.

Common Questions
FAQs: Handcrafted Rugs
What does "handcrafted" mean for a rug?
It means the rug was made by a person using hand tools — a loom, a tufting gun, or hand-weaving — rather than an industrial, fully mechanized process.
Which handcrafted construction is most durable?
Hand-knotted is the most durable, often lasting decades with proper care. Hand-tufted is more affordable and faster to produce but has a shorter typical lifespan.
Can I mix constructions in one wholesale order?
Yes — many of our wholesale and private label programs combine hand-knotted, hand-tufted and flatweave pieces in a single order.
Do you offer private label for handcrafted rugs?
Yes, across all four constructions — unbranded packaging and documentation for retailers selling under their own name.
How should a handcrafted rug be cared for?
Care depends on the construction — knotted and tufted wool rugs are vacuumed and blotted differently from reversible flatweaves or natural-fiber weaves. See our full care guide, or the specific construction page for your rug.
Can I approve a sample before bulk production?
Yes — we make a sample or strike-off for your sign-off first, and bulk production is checked against it for size, color and finish before it ships.
