Handwoven covers a family of rug-making techniques — handloom weaving, braiding and flatweaving — that share one thing in common: everything happens on a loom, by hand, with no tufting gun and no machine involved at any stage. The result is a rug with visible texture and a relaxed, organic character that's hard to fake with a machine-made alternative.
Most of our handwoven pieces are made from natural fibers — jute, sisal, cotton and wool — which is also why they tend to suit casual, textured interiors so well. As with everything we make, sizes, blends and colorways are made to your order.
Why Choose Us
What Sets Our Handwoven Rugs Apart
Natural Fiber Texture
Jute, sisal, cotton and wool bring a tactile, organic finish you won't get from a synthetic machine-made rug.
Breathable & Casual
The open, textured weave suits relaxed interiors — living rooms, entryways and layered looks — better than a dense piled rug.
Custom Blends on Request
We can combine fibers — jute with wool or cotton accents, for example — to balance texture with softness.

How It's Made
Handwoven Rugs, Step by Step
Fiber Selection
Jute, cotton or wool yarn is selected and prepped based on the texture and durability your order calls for.
Hand-Weaving or Braiding
The rug is built on a loom or by hand-braiding, depending on the design — no tufting gun, no machine.
Finishing
Edges are bound or whipped by hand, and the piece is pressed and inspected before it ships.

Common Questions
FAQs: Handwoven Rugs
What materials are handwoven rugs made from?
Most commonly jute, sisal, cotton and wool — sometimes blended together for a mix of texture and softness.
Are handwoven rugs durable?
Very — natural fiber weaves like jute and sisal are hard-wearing and well suited to high-traffic areas, though they're less forgiving of spills than wool.
Can handwoven rugs be custom sized?
Yes, every piece is made to order in the size and colorway you specify.
Do you offer handwoven rugs for retail private label?
Yes — unbranded packaging and documentation are available for retailers reselling under their own name.
How should a handwoven natural-fiber rug be cared for?
Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting and blot spills immediately — jute and sisal absorb moisture quickly, so avoid wet cleaning or steam. Keep away from consistently damp areas. See our full care guide.
Do you handle export documentation and shipping?
Yes — every order ships with a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin prepared for your destination country. Shipping terms are confirmed in writing on your quotation.
