"Modern" is a design language, not a construction method — a modern handcrafted rug is still hand-tufted or hand-knotted by the same artisans using the same techniques as a traditional medallion piece. What changes is the pattern: abstract fields instead of borders and motifs, sculpted or carved pile for depth, and palettes built around two or three tones instead of a dozen.
We develop modern designs in-house and also produce from a client's own artwork or mood board — useful for retailers building a private-label collection around a specific aesthetic rather than picking from an existing catalog.
